That's really great of him. However it's a pity that he is wasting his time with a charity that is run by women that are only interested in getting close to him and using his friends to get his attention.
Hopefully Mr. Haarsma will see the difference in sincerity between the people behind KNTR and those that run the Browncoat Booth at Comic Con and decide to work with them instead.
Also, it's a bit much that the only way a person could get his autograph was to support a charity of his choosing. Instead, he could have just collected the money and turned it over himself as his own donation rather than make people make that choice.

There is absolutely no conflict between the two groups. Kids Need to Read is not a fan group, it is a charitable foundation. Our experience working with the gracious California Browncoats was one of unqualified pleasure.

No one was forced to donate to the charity for Mr. Fillion's autograph. He gave it freely and generously.

They donate their time and money to buy books for kids who live in poor areas or whose libraries have suffered some sort of disaster. I'm am simply floored that you would make such vile remarks. And, you are also misinformed about the signing. Nathan and I sat there for two hours and signed anything anyone put in front of us - whether they donated or not. I suppose you are probably one who didn't.
