Rape chic t-shirts at Comic-Con
This tee-shirt available at San Diego Comic-Con features a cartoon & catchphrase that's achieved a fair bit of currency on the web. And it's not the only one in the genre, as this thread on Safer Campus illustrates.
Because drugging women and having sex with them while they're unconscious is sooooooo amusing.
Really, if I were advising the Comic-Con management I'd tell the dealer either to pull the shirt or leave. Promoting rape, even--especially--in jest, is inconsistent with the group's mission and also puts it at risk of a lawsuit should an actual incident occur.

THANK YOU for this post. You repeated my words exactly and is exactly *why* took the picture and was going to write in my own LJ about it. Other things in this same booth included the "Reasons to not date a fat chick" and the "bulimia" t-shirt. I am an ex-anorexic and was *so* offended. You showed up in my flickr stats, and I have a pretty nasty letter coming to ComicCon all around this year about the concepts presented. I saw kids get trambled, be exposed to this shirt and more. It's just not fun or okay to me. (We are exhibitors of software.)
