NPQ: What Nonprofits Can Learn From Comic Con
The Nonprofit Quarterly touches on a topic discussed in my writing for comics & media sites: the San Diego Comic-Con (now Comic-Con International) as an instructive model for charities. It's a topic that deserves more attention - not only does CCI have a useful history in regard to nonprofit event management, it also embodies the persistent tensions among commerce, charity and change.
